We went to Farmer Parrs today, I rehomed my beautiful Black/Partridge Silkie cockerel there around 18 months ago, we've avoided going back since until this weekend.

And there he was happy as Larry, with a nice little harem around him and quite a few little black silkies around.  I even think he recognised me cos as we walked by his enclosure he came up to the fence and brought some straw.

They've got quite a few unusual chickens "to me anyway" some really huge makes mine look like toys.

We gave Mighty Joe our Norfolk Black Turkey to the Acton Scott Farm Museum in Shropshire a few years ago. They'd lost their cock and he was surplus to requirements at our place. We saw him a couple of times when we visited and even after that, it was sort of nice to think that all the Norfolk Blacks running around there were down to him.
