hi i am new to poultry keeping and currently have 3 x 10 week old pekin bantams, i would love some quail and woundered if they live ok together or if the bantams would bully them.  any advise would be gratefully received.

I have a feeling i've seen this asked before but as I'm not a chickeny person I can't recall the answer.

Yes, I think whoeveritwas said that quail don't behave like hens, they don't go to bed at night and roost, and will  escape if you let them out and not come back, so they are better housed in a rabbit hutch or similar type of accommodation.  Which would not be the case for bantams.

Coupled with the fact that the hens will peck the quail to pieces

I have heard that someone keeps them together but i tried with my seramas and they nearly shredded the quail after 24 hours of being terrified of them

thanks for your help guys, i think it best to keep them in a spare rabbit hutch as i dont want them to get harmed by the bantams.  decission made thank you.
