Water containers
« on: July 06, 2010, 17:45 »
Was looking for water containers to transport water to our allotment as we don't have any on site, and our water butts are now empty. Going through the local ARC car wash, I noticed lots of empty containers that looked perfect for the job. They have had the car wash detergents in them, and when used up, they get chucked round the back! I cheekily asked what they did with them, and they said nothing, help yourself!!! Had to hunt around abit for some lids, but have picked up 5 x 25 litre containers for nothing!!  :D  8)

Now just got to rinse them out really well, or my spuds, etc will shine!!!

Or you just won't have to wash them before cooking them
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

they're also great as pots for your veg tatters and the likes. Or as buckets, just cut the top off them.Lots a things rally, handy alright.

I often take the plastic cooking oil containers from behind the local chinese takeaway.
They do take a lot of washing, though cos they are really gungy ::)

As they are, tops cut off, or cut in half from top to bottom (so both halves are usable) they are very handy :)
