My Christmas Day was certainly Different ......
« on: December 25, 2019, 23:49 »
…… Because my Daughter and S-in-L, announced that they has booked a Festive Banquet in our lovely village indian restaurant.    What a surprise  !!  We went at 3pm.     Before that several friends dropped in to say hallo.    The restaurant was fully booked out with large parties and couples, lady friends, and all sorts in between.    We staggered out about 5pm, totally "stuffed".   There was so much left over, I have two big take out dishes, I shall freeze those for another day.    Came home and fed and walked Bubbles and went back to Daughter's for pressies.  I came home, played and cuddled with the Dog, and caught up with some TV.  Now I am going to have an indigestion tablet  ::) and go to bed, ready for tomorrow.

I hope you have all had a lovely day, and it was all you hoped for.   regards to you all,  Mrs Bouquet

No surprises here - invited round to local family, taking veg of course and involved in much veg peeling. Daughter directs, son-in-law is head washer up and all the rest of us are minions to work as directed.

Mrs B, I'm so glad you had a lovely day, and weren't lonely, even though I know you had Bubbles with you. I was thinking about you yesterday, while we were with our son and his family for Christmas lunch.  If you lived anywhere near us you would have been very welcome to join our celebrations.  You would only have needed a pair of slippers and a pair of ear plugs to have enjoyed yourself!
Anyway, I'm glad it all went well for you.  You'll probably be glad of a rest today, I know I will!

Only a pair of slippers  !!!!! no clothes  -   what sort of a party was that.

Anyway, it is most kind to know that I was in your mind, I appreciate that. :)   Mrs B

MB, always love reading your posts as you know, but the vision of a very well contented lady accompanied by Bubbles wearing only a pair of slippers and ear plugs must be an all-time favourite post on here. God only knows what Growster will make of it, but he'll have a jolly good go when he finally sobers up!  :tongue2:
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

My mind has been blown!

I'll never look at a pair of slippers the same way again...

"Bubbles wearing only a pair of slippers and ear plugs"

I really have never thought that a dog could dress up like that, Goosey, but apparently, things like this often happen over the festive season...
