Title: Pitter patter of little paws
Post by: Eblana on March 10, 2014, 18:13
Feeling really excited as we will hopefully have the pitter patter of little paws on Sunday.  I went to the rescue centre today to complete the adoption papers for a 10 week old puppy (she is a mixed variety but they think she is part boxer).  We just have the home visit to get through on Wednesday pm but as I have had dogs before I can't see how the home visit could be negative.  Just realised that today is the first anniversary of the departure of our beloved Doogle so it is also tinged with some sadness but I think that do ogle would want us to give another dog a good home.  I will post pictures when she arrives

Most of mine have been rescues as well and I know they really appreciated a good home. Doogle will be proud of you.

Our's are rescues too. Our mixed has such character and has been a challenge at times, but we are proud of her and adore her. Looking forward to pics.

she is gorgeous, if you want to find out what breeds are in her make-up you can do a simple DNA test - we got one on-line from pets at home and three weeks later we found that Rosie had a third breed that the rescue didn't know about, it certainly explained some of her behaviour  :)

Not little anymore - she has grown into a rather large doggy who has taken over our hearts and our lives!  I had an exam the other day and had to find a babysitter for her    We can't leave her on her own or she cries the place down,  I have a particularly moany neighbour a couple of doors away from me and she keeps giving out about her howling when I amn't home (the longest I have left her on her own is about an hour).  I have spoken to the rescue centre we got her from and have discovered that she was hand reared from the time she was 5 days old and used to sit under the girls computer all day long so she isn't used to being on her own for any length of time.  Thankfully we have managed to stop her from being travel sick which means that we are able to take her with us when we are going to the plot or when my daughter is going to her horse.  We are going to the west of ireland for holidays in August so I have had to find a holiday home which will allow dogs :D

She is out for a walk with my husband at the moment but I will try get a picture and post it later.

Sounds as if she is a bit of a challenge. Looking forward to new pics to see if she has grown into those gorgeous ears!

She looks lovely - I'm not surprised she's growing rapidly - from the pup picture it looks as if she is going to be a good size.

Have I missed it - Does she have a name?

and the little un Idefix the male Parsons Russell. 15 months
All very different with great personalities.
