My indoor bell pepper plants covered in green fly

How do I treat indoor grown bell pepper plants covered in green fly?
I have them in my kitchen windowsill and both have plenty if peppers growing. Thought it might not be good idea to spray them once the peppers are showing. Not sure what to do. Leaves are starting to shrivel into nothing.

You could just rub them off with your thumb (rubber glove if squeamish) or wash them off with a spray of water with a drop of washing-up liquid in.
