I am thinking of changing the bedding I use, which is wood shavings from Hay & Brecon, as it does not seem to compost down that quickly.  I have seen aubiose bedding which isn't that much different in cost  but I also came across something made from rice husks.  Does anyone have any advice/opinion?  Thanks

I brought a cross shredder Prod

I shred all my junk mail / food packets and any paper I can get hold of

it goes on the heap or bonfire and completely rots down - I have a 3 year heap rotate

best bit is it's all free  :D

You can get rapeseed straw - it's for horses, but is lovely! It smells sweet and isn't dusty and composts well. Ask at the farmstore - Wynns***.  ;)
