Title: Leaves & strawberry foliage.
Post by: Kleftiwallah on November 10, 2020, 18:17
Good evening everyone,   I'm about to lightly dig over a bed in the greenhouse then cover it in a thick covering of freshly fallen damp leaves.
(1) Should I incorporate some leaves in the soil as I dig?
(2) I'm clearing a strawberry patch, is it best that the strawberry foliage go under, on top of or within the leaves?
The roots of the strawb's will be left to dry and then burnt, they were a divvil to rot down in the compost heap the last time.

Cheers,  Tony.

Leaves on top, best not to dig in and let the worms take them under, strawberry leaves under larger leaves or over smaller leaves.
