My potato plant leaves have a yellowy tinge around the edges, does anyone know what this is.

I assume it was hit by very light frost. not too much to be browned.
my frosthit leaves have brown part, a yellow part and green part in the same leaf.

yup - very likely indeed top be frost. Nothing to worry about.
