MOMOs
« on: October 10, 2010, 08:39 »
Has anyone ever made momo's?  When we stayed in India we ate them a few times.  I thought they were ok but my son absolutely loved them.  Was thinking about making some with him, have seen some recipes on the internet and they look easy enough.

My local Indian restaurant has chicken momos as a starter - I love them  :D

They are steamed or fried stuffed dumplings - think dim sum but with an Indian flavour

Sorry, I should have said!  One of the things I found quite strange about them was the fact that they don't look cooked!  I think I am so used to seeing any dough type mixture oven baked, and therefore brown/crispy, it was a surprise to see something on my plate that didn't look like it had been cooked!  Once I got past that they tasted ok.

Going to make them one night this week I think, will let you know how they go.
