I'm going to try a new variety of seed potato from Moles seeds it's called Caledonian rose red skin it has a good write up but then the proof will be in what it produces it's said to have some resistance to Eelworm that is a problem on some of our ground although not quite so bad this year following me sowing green manure Mustard last year

I grew Caledonian Rose for the first time this year and have to say I am very impressed and will grow them again. Decent size spuds and very little damage from any of the usual pests, We did not get any bight this year due to the very hot weather so cant comment on their resistance to that.

You do need to keep an eye on them when cooking as if boiled too long they quickly go to mash. The do make a good roastie and chip.

I note your reply E/ glen it's nice to get feedback on these varieties so from what you're saying there going to be worth growing taking into account the cooking side we have the same with some other varieties this season but thanks for making me aware of that, so fingers crossed :D
