I use netting for the same effect, also means that this torrential rain has not flattened the seedlings.

I got a pack of Enviromesh last year and it does a great job. A bit more expensive than fleece, but it should last for years
Ah well ! There is always next year !

i use 2 different types of glass cloche for protection (tent and barn) - and i use large panels of double glazing for bigger crops like my toms and cucurbits.

i also use nets and wired frames to protect from birds and the ruddy cat that keeps trying to use my onion bed as a loo

I use scaffold netting, got all my peas and brassicas covered with it. If you see any scaffolders just ask if they have any spare, Ive got lots just by asking!

Scaffold debris netting, yep, I just bought a roll of some this morning

50m x 2m heavy duty stuff, £28 delivered, darn site cheaper than buying the same amount of that flimsy stuff in packets!

Will have plenty left over for a walk in fruit cage, lots of possibilitys really
