I am growing from seed some primo cabbages but right now they look very weak and are only about two inches tall. They have been grown in peat pots using Westland seed compost for some seven weeks. Some other plot holders say the same. Whats going on. They have been raised in a greenhouse and watered every other day. Yesterday I started using a plant feed. 2mro I shall be mostly wondering if I am doing it right. :?:

Are they still in the greenhouse? They are not heat loving plants.

They may have been underwatered peat pots dry out VERY quickly.

The other problem might be that there in seed compost. The whole point of seed composts is that they have practically no nutrients in,   otherwise all the budding tips get burnt.

Suggest you post them on into something with a bit more food in it, how about a tomato grow bag?

I think they might well be hot and dry as the Maistro suggests, chuck them out, in ground and puddle in well, plant deep, it's hot even out there at the mo.

Ok. Thanks for the reply. I'll plant them out and hope for the best. Same happened last year but they did ok in the end
