Hi I知 fairly new to veg growing, I have raised beds my question is should I add organic matter to them every autumn before I put them to sleep for the winter? Thank you

If you have it then yes, add it then :)
Sometimes it is too wet and I don't get it done until the spring, though.
The only time you really shouldn't add it, is when soil is coved with frosted/frozen earth, as the compost keeps the soil underneath it frozen for longer than normal.

It depends on the organic matter you are thinking of adding: compost or fresh leaves, yes, fresh manure, no, it is better for you to rot it down for 6 months in a heap before digging it in preferably under the plants you are transplanting to the bed.
