Young turnips and beetroots.
« on: May 26, 2009, 23:41 »
I just planted some young beetroot and turnips out today  :D (At last! Cried the seedlings  :tongue2: )

Have scattered slug pellets but am wondering, do I need to protect them from anyone else i.e. do they need netting over to stop any animals eating/plucking/picking them??

Beetroot should be ok, but the birds and butterflys will love your turnips
