Title: Hello from Cumbria and Belgium
Post by: Deni444 on January 15, 2018, 07:55
Just a quick hello to introduce myself.  I'm Denise and although I live temporarily in Belgium, the house I will be moving into permanently this summer has a greenhouse and allotment.  The house is in North West Cumbria and I'm looking forward to spending most of my time tending the garden and growing fruit and vegetables.  I will be looking for tips on things I could plant this April that could be left unattended for a month or two.  Look forward to chatting in the other threads.  Glad to meet you all :)

Hi there & welcome to the site, how exciting to get a house & allotment in one go. Potatoes, onions, shallots, garlic, winter brassicas could well fit the bill for you with the proviso that weather & pests & diseases can strike even when you’re checking on it all every day/week, so you might get back & it has all been munched, washed away or burnt to a frazzle, but I’d risk it 😊
