Not so much sow, but if you can get hold of some leek plants.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

There's not much that will do that & be ready in March. You can give peas & broad beans a go, but they will be later.

Crikey, talking about winter already.... burr. You are evil!

If you have land bare and cant think of what to put in or cant get anything into the ground try some mustard or cress. Thats all i can think of, but i'm not an expert at any stretch!

Chard

You can get early greens with overwintered Hispi cabbages planted out as soon as weather allows in the Spring

so did I  :D   I covered the kale with Enviromesh.  I managed to get spinach Bordeaux, pak choi, leeks, carrots, perpet spinach through the winter, corn salad, winter lettuces (loads of) Cornet de Bordeaux chicory, WSP, and some cauli which was supposed to "flower" in Spring but hasn't done so yet but it looks as fit as a fiddle so I have high hopes

I was wondering the same myself WM. I have ordered my potatoes and will be looking for onions soon.
Has anyone any ideas what might grow in a small polytunnel over winter?

I think broad beans can be sown in November, no idea whether it's really beneficial though.
Overwintering green manure will protect the ground and provide composting/mulching material.

Edit: Not talking about poly tunnels here. I have never had one and not likely to get one either, so know diddly about them.
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

All those chinese greens will over winter and most cabbages in your neck of the woods.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
