Sorry, I can't help with the Munton's kits, but Growster made a post a while back saying that Tesco now do a 30 bottle, 7 day wine kit for £20.  I checked at the time and it was deffo on Tescodirect, so if you order it to collect at the store, there's no extra delivery charge.  :)

Its ben years since I made my own wine, I used to make a lot of fruit wines, I never tried a kit

I dont even know of any place near me that sells brew kits any more, they used to be very popular, but I think they have fallen out of favour

I still have a couple of bottles left, they have to be at least 25 years old (wonder if they are drinkable :))

Is this kits (or any other kit still availible in Tesco ? Is it any good, what is in the box ?

The kits of today are far superior to kits of yesteryear..Tesco do the kits where you order on line then pickup at your local store. Any good kit will give you a good bottle of wine as long as you take your time. ;)

i only used fresh fruit to make wine, never used any concentrates, always seemed like cheating to me
I want all the kit, but not any concentrates (Demi John, hoses, bubbler, all the 'stuff')
I got apples, pears, elderberries, gooseberries, even strawberries in the freezer to use up

Plenty of glass one about...try your free papers, your local free sites...(freegle.co.uk) you see them on Ebay but the P&P cost more than the DJ.  Don't buy the plastic ones, go to your supermarket buy a gall of water, drink it, make tea/coffee with it, then drill a hole in the cap for a airlock...job done.

I bought a couple of these Wilco kits, now they are ready for a tasting, they do look very good and just a little sediment in the bottom, so maybe decanting them is a good idea

I was surprised how easy these kits were, compared to years ago, justr wonder how they will taste

I found a couple of bottles I made at least 25 years ago, I was wondering if they were still drinkable, they wewre elderberry and made from the real fruit

Amazing what you find in the loft when you havce to tidy things up  :)

We use the Wilko kits alot, but only in the summer as thats the only time my mates barn is warm enough but this winter we made a hotbox with some hay bales a few old blankets and a small lecky rad.
they are 25% off atm so we picked up 4 30 liter kits to get us going,  ;)
Still got a few bottles left from last year  :D.
We allways run ours through a filter into a jug and fill the bottles with that, well 2 jugs alternating. ::)
Very drinkable it is.

I have two on the go, one red, one white, the red is clearing fine, nice ruby colour, the white I aint so sure on, it looks cloudy, used the finings, but dont seem to be clearing, I wonder how long before it does clear ?
I have a filter, but I am a little reluctant in using it just yet

What do you reckon, give it another week ?

I know the yeast is dead in it, no bubbles :)
