We have had 2 eggs quite large , one weighed 103 grams and the other 98 grams, but

wow I never thought to weigh it

It weighs in at 110grams. Maybe this thread should say how much does your egg weigh.

Any takers on a 110

I have a hen that laid one at 115 grammes last June which I think was a Blackrock. I posted it on here somewhere as I couldn't believe the size of it
Had a few double yolkers for a couple of weeks and since then all hens have laid normally although the egg shell colour has changed from the Bluebelle (brown to cream). Don't know why and don't suppose I ever will.

The one my mini Goldline laid last week was 110gms too Rachel, but the biggest I ever had was 125gms, but that was a couple of years ago and from an ex bat I think!

Pearl, one of my ex batts, lays monster eggs.  The shells are whiter than normal, and I find that the whites are runnier than normal.  They seem to contain a lot of water, so OK for scrambling, but not too good for much else.

My Speckledy laid a huge egg a few days ago, i also took various pics as couldn't believe the size of it.
The lady i bought some more of my hens from the other weekend said it was probably a double egg.
Since the Specledy is the only one laying so far it had to be from her but i didn't notice her walking funny lol I will have to weigh it tomorrow  :D

A couple of years ago we had a 135gm egg....... it was a very hot day......... a hen died the same day, we wondered if it was the hen that laid the big egg.  We have had eggs that weighed around 125gm about once a week.  Yesterday we had 13 eggs, not bad from 17 hens, most are getting on now.
