as im on quite a tight budget being a poor student was just wondering where i can get some inexpensive vegtable seeds the big garden centres are overpriced I think
-
Wilko, Lidl, etc.

Yeah, would agree with gobs, Wilko's seeds start from around 49 pence and Lidl's about 20 pence. If you are in an allotment association you can pick seeds up quite cheaply as well. :D
-
www.moreveg.net sell seed in smaller quantities and work out quite cheap.
-
Wolworths are doing 2 for 1 almost permanantly and also du a cheep 6in1 pack for not much
-
Alan Romans (http://www.alanromans.com) are also very cheap - about 50p/pack.
If you have a Wyevale Garden Centre near you, keep a look out too - I bought tonnes of seeds and flowers from them last year for about 50p/pack when they had a massive clear-out

I have used Alan Romans before and i must say they are very good, he keeps his prices down by using plain packaging. If i remember rightly the p & p was very good as well.

Go to ebay and search for vegetable seeds. You can get a mix of about 20 different veg and herbs for about 5 pounds or so... or other combinations that are pretty cheap. And they deliver to your postbox in a few days :-) The only downside is that you don't get to pick your varieties as carefully as you would if you were buying individually.

You can't beat Wilko's for seeds.
And they've had a 3 for 2 offer on All Year. :D
-
always get mine from wilkos...even asda are expensive
-
PM me if you want any pea seeds and i can post some out to you. May have a few other bits and bobs lying about also.
