one of our local garden centres are selling of there seed potatoes what's left now i need more seed potatoes like I need a broken leg but i just can't resist letting the seed go to waste there they are sitting on the shelves  shoots getting longer and saying buy me so there i am with half a dozen bags of seed potatoes at a quid each with the wife saying your  well that may be the case dear but there better of in our allotments than in the skip that I'm afraid fell on deaf ears

anyway I've boxed um up and they look great removed  the long shoots  and the new shoots are forming lovely maybe the only downside is that there of many varieties so watch this space  :D

For a quid a bag I don't think you can go too wrong Rowland  :)

Its a great chance to try lots of different ones and see what you like.  Just keep telling yourself that when you end up with enough to feed the county later in the year

Whaleroad, thinking ahead to next year, you want to avoid planting things in the same place in successive years.  So it would probably be advisable to keep one area free of spuds this year, so you can plant them there next year.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
