Hi all,

I've been trying via freecycle to get a shed but with no joy at all (it's probably too early in the year for most people to think about being outside).

However, I was introduced to a fence builder today who has a plot a couple of rows down from mine. Anyway, he said he's always taking down old sheds, greenhouses, slabs and fences and he can drop off anything he thinks I might want - he's got everything he needs and so he burns the spare wood (including 2 sheds from last week).

It was just a chance meeting but it might be worth a call to your local fence builder if you need any of the above. I am certainly landing on my feet when it comes to upcycled or reused stuff. It's still amazing what people are still throwing away without considering the use of freecycle and the like.

So, I'm looking forward to my first delivery - I've offered cut flowers in the summer for his wife (although his response was that he couldn't eat flowers - fair enough!).
