Onions: Shakespeare (yellow) and Electric (red) from sets because I've grown those successfully this year. They both have lots of flavour without causing too much eye-watering! I'm also trying Sturon from seeds as an experiment as I haven't grown onions from seed before.

Garlic: Solent Wight softneck (good flavour & stores well), Music hardneck (good for scapes and early/green garlic as well as amazing flavour when fully mature).

Compostqueen, I'm not sure why your Electric onions were only red on the outside. Mine always have red all the way through. Did you just grow them once?
