How to connect 4 steel tube together
« on: March 12, 2011, 11:39 »
Would a block of wood work as a centre peice 4 holes drill in at 40mm dia each and one for a support leg. I could get it welded but not transported to the site

Im thinking like the ball thingys that you get on shop fruit cages only bigger
Thanks
Kris

I would think so, either that or a couple of pieces of threaded rod welded into a  cross to form the joint. to slide into the steel tube.
Grendel
we do the impossible daily, miracles take a little longer.

Now there is an idea Grendel, i have some tubing at the plot that should fit nicley into the larger tubing i think.  I might give the wooden block ago first and see how that works and keep the rod idea in mind.
