cascamite glue question for carpenters and the like

A few years ago i used cascamite glue ,its powder that you mix with water got to be the strongest glue ever .For some reason it isnt made anymore ,does anyone know if there is an alternative on the market yet
If the early bird gets the worm how come the 2nd mouse to the trap gets the cheese ??

for some reason they call it one shot these days. I get it from Rydenor  they are on the net. Or google sovereign chemicals.

As a joiner, I haven't heard the name Cascamite for years, happy memories  :)

If you've got an outside job I'd recommend a polyurethane expanding adhesive, truly amazing stuff, be very careful using it though, you can glue anything to anything with it and it cures in 5mins. You can even use it on wet timber  :blink:

Trade names are Fast grab and Gorilla glue ...worth checking out.

thanks alfie its just i seem to get a lot of folks who have nice dining chairs tables etc in there nice centrally heated houses and has you know the glue goes in the joints ,so i used to like the old cascamite for re glueng the joints

Someone had used it on a garden project, and his teenage son came along in shorts and leaned against it!  I heard this from the med. student who was on A&E that afternoon - kid came in with an enormous wound where he's pulled away from the coldframe or whatever, and left a good palm-area of skin still attached to it.

One of the nutters at work bonded one of the lads car tyres to the carpark. Pulled 2 big lumps of tarmac up & wrecked his tyres  :mad:
