how does one remove the exhaust from

hi i have got a merry tiller 3hp briggs and stratton engine fitted and want to remove the old exhaust have slackened off the locking ring but just cant seem to get any purchase on the exhaust itself and have actually bent it out of shape any help much appreciated :?

it does unscrew, trust me! trouble is, I expect that its been in since new and is rusted solid.
In the past, I have had to cut the exhaust at the back of the silencer, and then colapse the rest in on it's self with a small cold chisell. after that it should come out quite easy. you will of course need to get a new exhaust.
sounds easy if it's said quick......

thanks gwiz that sounds like a plan if i have to look at the float to see if it is sticking and thats what is flooding the engine and causing petrol leakdo i need a new gasket seal?
