i tried overwintering peas last year with protection - dismal failure so I'm not repeating the exercise.
Gardening organically on chalky, stony soil.

ok so today i went to the plot checked all around for pixies didnt see any so i planted my peas and covered them with some net(that will stop the little blighters)also got some free steaming horse poo for my beds,OH cooked sausages for me & little one,widened a bed,deadheaded the cosmos that wont die,mowed the grass paths,talked to the guy that stood on my strawbs and looked like i was interested :lol: ,drank coffee then me and little one had a jumping over beds contest :? i won! what a great 6 1/2 hours.

Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
