Rain is continuing, but I caught the first Colorado beetle on the potatoes. That one has chewed his last leaf. Trying to get rid of the blackfly on the broad beans now.

Planted my new Dahlias and the veg that I had sown in modules.  Watered everything, harvested strawberries 🍓

Cut the paths and hoed the weeds.

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away I finally planted out my sweetcorn and various squashes and pumpkins that were miserable in pots. My plot neighbour was unusually vexed at slug damage to one of his pumpkin plants so I donated a Sweet Dumplin pumpkin to fill in the gap.

Set up the trampoline for the girl, weeded, planted out chilies, had a go on the trampoline and then ran for cover when it started raining.

Weeded, took some compost over to the second plot and got the bed ready for the tomatoes which I'll plant out tomorrow.

Took another car load of garden waste from an elderly neighbour to compost at the plot (they don't want to risk the tip).
Gave the polytunnel a water and lamented at how much weeding I need to do this week.

Sorted out the irrigation system in the polytunnel, planted runner beans outside and strimmed around the compost areas.

Chopped the leaves off a patch of daffodils & weeded the area ready for planting some edible flower seedlings(possibly I might keep them at home) also weeded the front flower bed. Harvested strawberries, then this evening I went to ‘do’ tge chickens & planted out 2 pumpkin plants that had been left for me by J.

Same here, and unless the 'possible' thunderstorms actually do arrive this evening - I'll be doing the same thing tomorrow!  ::)

Yesterday we watered the tom's, squashes, pumpkins and beans. We also did a bit of weeding and harvested soft fruit.

Another early start at the plot, I was there at 6:15   :D More weeding, this time the asparagus & the tomatoes , then took the sideshoots off & tied them in & tied the gherkins to their canes. Came away at 8.a.m.

Big task was FINALLY surrounding the plot with a monofilament fence to keep the deer out of my plot.  Total cost of materials under £8.00  (under $10.00 U.S) for an area about 60 feet long x 30 feet wide.  I'll post more about it later on, different thread.

Today, clearing weeds and undergrowth from "new ground", hopefully planting at least tomatoes, peppers.  Maybe okra and squash tomorrow.

(Edited to update tasks)
