"blind" dahlia
« on: September 18, 2012, 19:25 »
I have a dahlia - think it's one grown from seed - that while strong and healthy has no sign at all of buds unlike all the ones round it which are flowering wonderfully. Should I bother overwintering the tuber in hope it will flower next year, or do some dahlia plants just not flower?

As it is only the one, I would over-winter it. It may just surprise you with wonderful blooms next year.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I'd sling it.

It appears to have a genetic defect that won't go away during storing.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
