Went to the post office to collect a parcel, trip to the reptile shop just down the road,
whoops came home with another female crested gecko, now have 3 adult males, 3 adult females & my 6 babies, wonder if the other half will realise I have a new addition ? :D

Not if he counts the geckos the way my OH counts our hens - he managed to count to ten yesterday - we only have nine. ::)
Please do not forget the rules - we need pics of the new addition. :)

Pics will follow, but I had to walk/ bus home from the reptile shop, she got cold, so warming up.
Also the stress of a new home will be a bit much so will give her time to settle then pic's away.
Geckos hide & he doesn't know who's who, so should be ok. :)

If that's not scope for addition, I don't know what is 8)

Here she is, just over 30g, so ready for next season, needs fattening up a bit.
She is a blonde flame with Dalmation spots including some red one's.

Exactly what do geckos eat? Not sure why I'm asking as I doubt I'd like the answer

These gecko's in the wild eat rotting fruit & bugs.
In captivity we buy Crested Gecko Diet, like,

Mixes up like baby food, then bugs like crickets, locusts, Dubai roaches (I'm not allowed cockroaches)
They can be fed the CGD mix only, but best to offer a mixture.
You can feed fruit as a treat, but no citrus fruits & banana is unliked by most people as it's high potassium content can affect calcium uptake.
Captive reptiles can suffer badly from calcium deficiency hence we dust all live food in calcium/vitamins.
They were believed extinct & only rediscovered in 1994.
A good breeder is in Canada,

Yes, this breeder does import them to the UK.

It most definitely is. We will be getting some more in the spring anyway - some of our older girls are almost past laying and will be enjoying their retirement.

Spottymint - she is lovely - I hope that she settles in well with the rest of the clan. :)

Oh she is lovely, spottymint :D Gorgeous eyes
and I expect you'll get away with adding her.
I managed it with two smallish koi a couple of years ago. When Mr Sunny commented on the bright orange fish, I could honestly say he had been in the pond ages and then added 'Maybe he is abit brighter than befoe so perhaps he didn't stand out'
Seemed to do the trick ;)

I fessed up. ;)
"So you have 10 ? then", sort of 6 + 6 = 10

Norty you

Aside from the bugs, your geckos eat healthier than most humans do.
So, 6 + 6 = 10. I must try that one on my OH next time I buy a lot of plants :D

She's lovely. How big will she grow and how quickly?
-
About 6" nose to tail & max weight around 40g. Some get heavier, but 40g is average.
She's 18 months about 32g, so fully grown, but needs some weight behind her.
My baby's born the 27th August are, 9.1g & 7.3g at 4 months old & about 2". :)
Funny thing is, the O/H is the one who keeps mentioning getting another tank & keeping all the babies ? ???
