Too long in the airing cupboard - classic mistake
« on: March 22, 2012, 15:41 »
It happened last year, so you think I would have learnt, but i made the classic mistake of leaving the sown seed in the airing cupboard one day too long.   All spindly, topped by tiny leaves.

More seed sowing this weekend as well as planting pots..

What were they - do they really need to go in the airing cupboard?

I don't even put my chillies in there!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

The worst place for sprouts is the airing cupboard! They hate heat and you'd probably be OK sowing them outside now.

The others need not go in there anyway and you don't have to put them on a window ledge to germinate them.

A small home made cold frame could be your answer
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
