Hi, I live in France, Lower Normandy, and my husband and I plan to buy bees next spring and are doing all the research now. We plan to buy the all-in-one suit from the UK (better quality than France), and the hive and bees in France. All the other equipment we will no doubt get in France. Are there any other people out there who live in Normandy who can recommend the best (and cheapest) places to buy equipment? We know where the get the bees and hive (Vitre) but would like to source the other things.

Thanks for the info. Have downloaded catalogue and will browse through it later.

Have you tried your local coop shop? They often have bee stuff cheap and (as is usual around here) the sale is on just at the beginning of the season you need to buy stuff ;). Also got some of our bee equipment from Ickowicz on line. :)
Good luck

Hi Caddick,
You have a smallholder group in Normandy, the Normandy Smallholder Network, I think, they should be able to help you.

Hi There
In yesterday's post I received a catalogue from Lerouge Apiculture (via my local beekeeping association) their offices are
91 rue Mangin
60130 St-Just-en-Chaussee
03 44 78 54 88
or
Cravans
17260 Gemozac
05 46 90 08 81
If you phone, I'm sure they'll send you one. They don't seem to have a website.
