Chocolate Cosmos Seeds

Does anyone know where I can source some Chocolate Cosmos Seeds please?

Most of the searches I do offer plug plants but they're fairly expensive and I'd like to grow from seed if possible or is it best to buy the plug plants/bulbs?

Have you actually seen them come as bulbs? I didn't think cosmos had a bulb base.

Was all I could find on the squintynet Yorkie & they don't seem to be cheap either...would rather have something that smells like chocolate and is chocolate myself but they are pretty.

I agree with the consensus that they are sterile and therefore seeds are not available.

One trio of plants here are £12.50 + p&p

Main reason I was after them was for the kids seeing as they are meant to smell like chocolate.......but do they?

Any recommendations for chocolate loving kids plant wise?

Hi Shieldsy. I was in Wilko today and they had some Chocolate Cosmos tubers. It was �2.98 for one tuber but I had a quick feel and some of the bags had 2 tubers in them.

There is some seed, for example some hybrid cornflower, that are chocolate scented. T&M.

I had to buy bulbs for them as well so I suspect they're a relative to the common cosmo which is why there are no seeds. And yes, they are pricey but if you want them, then you'll have to stump up the money.

Yes, they're definitely chocolate scented - tell your kids to close their eyes before they sniff, because that way the senses are mainly focused on the scent and not distracted by the visual :o)
