Rye
« on: February 22, 2009, 10:55 »
After breadmaking in a breadmaker for some time.  I have just bought a new bread book call 'Dough' and I have discovered the art of breadmaking - by hand!!
I have ground some rye to make my own rye flour but I am left with the husks and I am at a loss as to what to do with them other than put them on the compost.  There are  more husks than flour.  Any ideas?

Wow niknik, that is amazing, not just making bread by hand but making your own flour too. No idea of a use for husks except as you say the compost heap. How did the bread turn out? Was it 100% rye or 50/50 with wheat?

Chooks?  Small rodent pets such as gerbils etc?
