Anyone got a recipe for making ginger cordial?
Every search I have made turns up 100's of recipes with ginger cordial but not for ginger cordial.

2oz ginger root very thinly sliced
18fl oz water plus the juice of 1 lemon
10 oz sugar.
Put all ingredients in a sucepan on a low heat.
Stir with a wooden spoon to dissolve the sugar then bring up to boil.
Turn off the heat and leave overnight to infuse.
Strain and bottle and keep it in the fridge.
Dilute with water to taste.

I've never actually tried it, but have written it, many years ago, inside one of my old cookery books
