Title: Are Borlotti bean pods edible?
Post by: johrit on September 27, 2008, 13:17
After a first, very wet, growing year in admittedly very poor clay soil all I have to show from my borlotti bean trial is a handful of pods with no beans to speak of developed inside. Can anyone advise whether the pods are edible so I can maybe salvage something from this disaster.  :(

edible when young, a bit tough when older.I eat them like french beans so I hope they are edible anyway.
