Our site....
« on: August 18, 2024, 15:00 »
So last week the chairman and myself was chatting, he was saying his wife wanted an aerial photo of their plot so she could make a planner.
I kind of mentioned, well I could that for her, he looked at me "how"? I have a drone I said, I do aerial photography as a hobby but also the odd viddy for an estate agent I know.

So the plan was born. Aerial photos for anyone who wanted one and a trip round the site.
Just one problem, we are in Blackpool Airports FRZ (flight restriction zone) so spent an afternoon sorting my registration etc with the airport, doing the flight plan and wizzing it in for approval, which we got. Weather was good on the night and I phoned the ATC to get final approval and we was off.

Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!

Great job Aidy  :)

I love looking round other people’s allotments so that video was right up my street. Your site is so neat with lots of lovely looking plots  :D

Cheers

In case you are wondering,  my plot is the third one from the start, just as the camera finishes it's upward movement and the plot has the big plum tree in the middle.

I love looking around other sites!

Great work Aidy.

A few years ago, there was quite a bit of anti-social behaviour. Our site is large and rambling, with plot numbering in a sequence which doesn't necessary make sense on the ground  ::)

The police drone was sent up, which resulted in an image of the aerial view of the plots, over which the plot boundaries and numbers were placed in a PowerPoint I think. The end result was available to police officers who needed to find various plots on site (and we've used it too)  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
