Well it was supposed to be roast chicken, potatoes, stuffing and assorted veg from the freezer to make some room.  Paul carried the meat, potatoes, stuffing and plates through but when he went back for the gravy and veg he tripped and the veg went flying.  We tried the five second rule  but on a closer look it had some hairs and other 'items' on them so we went without. ::)

So we assume Paul was okay then.

Deconstructed cottage pie, chunky mixed veg - new bag of spuds which didn't turn to mush. No spoonstanding today. I don't know what they've done to the bisto  best gravy granules but they don't thicken without half a jar being used, I've tried their regular too and they were worse. Might have to try another brand or switch to old school browning and cornflour.

Old school browning and cornflour and hm stock all the way for me plus a red wine stock pot or real wine.

Tonight for us was pressure cooker lamb stew. Thought it was lamb slices for a quick roast dinner but turned out to be more chunks

I got freebie mince and peppers from work the other day - 2 packs of each reduced and not sold.  It seemed a no-brainer to make a big batch of chilli, so just that to reheat and some rice to cook and that was the job done  :D

Lasts nights roast           chicken left overs turned into a version of chicken supreme with mushrooms, peppers      and a white sauce, served  with rice.
