I went with the cheese on toast yesterday so had to finish the chicken with pasta in a tomato sauce tonight.

Pasta bake with a lot of festive leftovers hidden in it.  There was a cheese sauce with 3 different cheeses, leftover ham, some roasted tomatoes and peppers from leftover salad veg, plus carrot, celery and green beans all cut up small and chucked in with the pasta to boil for the last minute or so.

It was very good and made a huge amount, so there is another bake sat in a dish in the fridge.  That will do nicely for Friday, when I am at work all day and can just about manage to open the oven door and chuck something in when I get home  :D

It's about time I did something rice based. I took some mince beef out to defrost yesterday so I think a chilli.  I might split it as I actually have a green pepper for once and should make a spag bol sauce before it goes off.

The other half of the turkey & ham bake with sliced potatoes on the top that hubby made the other night, there wasn’t much turkey in it so there’s the last of that sliced up to chuck in & he’s also eying up tge last of the stuffing , there’s also some leftover veg lurking in the end of the dish so with extra sprouts for me that should see us right lol.
I made turkey & veg soup yesterday for lunch & we had more of that at lunch today. Just sliced & frozen 6 portions of the ham so that’s gone & I canned 3 pints of the soup yesterday.
Just canning the 1st 3 of 9 jars of swede & carrot for mash so should be cleared through of everything apart from the chocolates.

As I've already said caught the lurgy from Granddaughter, now on antibiotics as true to form it's gone to my chest.  Paul is having turkey and mushroom in some sort of sauce and I'm having some chips as I really fancy the vinegar to cut through the 'fug' in my mouth.

Winner winner chicken dinner here.

Picked up a large half price chicken so it seemed rude not to     I’ll do some plot spuds with it and fish some veg out of the freezer, along with a couple of large yorkshire puds that didn’t get used over Christmas.

Friday - oven chip. Nothing fishy in the freezer unfortunately so it will have to be the last of the pasties. Peas and corn and probably a few mushies.

Sweet and sour turkey to finish it off.  We usually make our own sauce but as I can't taste a thing decided to use the emergency jar of sauce in the cupboard.
