From where we are on IOW, we can see the moon rising from the horizon, and the last two nights it has been he and very orange... even better tonight then!

I saw the 'light' bit, but only because JRT wanted to go out at 2:00am, which is a bit of a trek in the jim-jams...

As she'll probably do the same tonight, I'll take real notice this time!

It rose blood red, and appeared to travel at an amazing speed... breath-taking tbh

Back in 'those days', they'd have done a heck of a lot of work overnight!

The brightness was staggering - as the old farm hands would have been after 24 hours non-stop...

I hope they got a few pints down them for breakfast!
