Milder overnight and sunny this morning

At least the wind has dropped ...but so has a fence panel

The amber warning for ice and yellow warning for snow was not surprisingly enough to put off a friend I'd invited round for dinner and to watch the Strictly final yesterday evening.

What we actually got was some rain (no frost, no snow, no ice, no wind.)

Quiet and sunny today, although I've been too busy fixing my leaking C/H filter to make much of it so far...

Very wet underfoot indeed - that's a walk round the allotment paths test shows that. Not as cold as has been but not exactly the late summer temperatures we've had.

Raining when I went to bed, raining when I woke up, so it stayed mild all night +8C.
Everything sodden, the front footpath is awash

Good job I finished shopping yesterday, or I'd have to get my wellies out..

Rain overnight again, so mild this morning 8C. I think our local water reserves must be back to normal by now

What's happening up in the stratosphere atm, suggests there may be another Sudden stratospheric warming, like last year, so make sure everything that can hold water is out collecting the stuff - just in case!
