Title: seed deliveries
Post by: rowlandwells on January 14, 2021, 11:06
it said on the news [look east] that postal deliveries are being delayed because post office staff are of with covid that could effect deliveries from Essex and Suffolk so if you've ordered any seeds from that area there could be a delay ?

we have just received our seed delivery from Essex that where ordered in November

Everything seems to be taking few more days than usual, tbh, except for deliveries by Hermes/Yodel - they seem to be working as normal :)

Kings Seeds are having trouble fulfilling their orders to allotment association trading huts due to Covid restrictions. Had a very abject apology from them yesterday. However, they had expedited ours because of the secretary dealing with the order going into hospital for a knee replacement. There is a notice on their website that they are not taking orders at the moment till they have caught up.

DT Browns also have a notice that they are running a bit behind and that postal orders may be delayed in some areas due to Covid at the post office.

One of the local garden centres is selling fruit, vegetables and such rather than gardening items to stay in business.

Says a lot for things

I orderd mine from Premier Seeds Direct and arrived on time last week.

Postie here at work said delivery of letters are pretty much on time for both 1st and 2nd class.
Suspect its an area thing.

I also ordered from PSD Thursday evening , arrived Tuesday , first time I've used them. Our post seems to come in batches.
