The new houses in this area don't come with a guarantee of any sort other than they were built as houses.

The latest update from this was an email the other day saying they were out of stock of the two pans we were going to get free of charge plus if we wanted the other two in the set we'd have to pay £75.  >:( There was a customer ref number and phone details so we could let them know what our decision was. OH was rather miffed by this because we got a set of faulty pans whose current on-line price was quite higher than the different set we wanted so he gave them a ring today. Guess what, no problem! They're sending out the new set we asked for and at no charge. It just shows what can be done when you actually speak to someone who wants a happy customer rather than someone who, despite all the pics and details we sent, just stuck by their rules and regs. That's perseverance for you!
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Great result Goosey!

Squire Gander deserves a large tincture and so do you!

We were given a set of pans for our wedding back in 1972. Mrs Growster was very direct on her list as to what she wanted, because she is a pretty damn good chefette at all times, and we were asked and recognised generosity in all cases as good people should do.

When we opened the box, we found a completely different set, with the comment that A***** knows that these are the right ones, so she bought you these. (this from an uncle). That was the fait a compli from someone who we weren't all that keen on, although the uncle was a great bloke - er - see who I'm talking about...

Hmmm, they were pretty useless, and Mrs Growster's mum bought us a real set of pans some years later. They're still going strong and used every day!

Actually you're not wrong there. Mr G has enough food stocked away to feed the whole of Thurnham! Our dear neighbour and farmer's wife Chris had a 'flu' injection which misfired, and when I went to see her on her birthday last week she was lying on the couch and could hardly lift her head off the cushions so "Meals on Wheels" went into action! Mr G made a beef and venison stew with veg, pots, herbs and gravy, two Yorkshire puds and an apple pie then we took it down. It was the least we could do because they've done so much for us and are very special people. She's a lot better now thank goodness.

We will still use the old pans until they spring a leak, we also bought a replacement milk pan from the same set, then got a 3-piece set of the stainless steel pans as a back-up. When we receive this other replacement set we're going to give it to someone as a present.

You are so not going to believe this!  Their last email said it may not arrive until after Christmas which was fine with us. Yesterday we got a delivery of not only one boxed set of this different set of pans but TWO! We now have about 15 pans of different sizes and makes. All I can say is, er, dunno, but thanks a lot!

Now you know what a 'life time guarantee' is,  enough saucepans to last a life time.        Mrs Bouquet

Mrs B - you couldn't have put it better except for the fact that I might not live long enough to see them wear out!
