A couple of pics of today's progress (hampered by a whingy teenage girl lol
Got my spuds in and seeded some purple turnips
Turned over and levelled some ground ready to set up the raised bed for onions
Put down a very tempory brick path between two beds lol

looks like a nice size plot.

if your going for raised beds i would say start looking to acquire materials to make beds from (i used old industrial chiller panels for mine), and look for topsoil and manure. you won't believe how much you need. freecycle, gumtree freebies, facebook, etc are good sources for materials.

As is used mushroom compost. Here, it is £1 a bag for over 10 bags.
