Just found a small bag of it - what have I got it for ?

Mini De-humidifiers,
Dishwasher.
Melting snow and ice.

Definitely wouldn't be for anything else in my house.    Any ideas, before I throw it away.   Mrs Bouquet

My guess 'is it was probably bought for a mini-dessicator, although it should also work for melting snow and ice.
