Title: sunflower seeds

when is the right time to cut the flower heads to dry the seeds and is it ok to dry them in the greenhouse

Id let the petals die off (watch out for the birdies), cut the heads off and dry them in the GH.

Hae your sunflowers flowered then?
When your drying them out, make sure you put a ray undder them or they end up everywhere!!

yes my multihead type in full flower at top and sending out side flowers right down the stem.
Are u suggesting i dry them face down with a tray underneath?

Put them face up but when they dry they seem to go everywhere, so just make sure theres something underneath or you'll have a green house full of sun flowers next year!(thats what happened to my dad!!!) when they're dry they should just fall out!
