Hi again

Tried to grow aubergines outside, but read up and realised they don't like it.

Two years running I have tired to grow au engine in the greenhouse form seed.

The plants grow very well and I get loads of stunning flowers. Never a hint of an aubergine though, only flowers hat eventually drop off:(

I believe they are perennial, so do you think I might get fruit the second year as the plant is now established in the pot?

Are there any tricks I need to learn?

The green house is east-west orientated and I have the aubergines at the rear with a fence behind them. Should I place them against the south side wall of the greenhouse for full sun?

Try putting them outside during the day, so the bees can find them easily - I've never tried to overwinter Aubs you should be able to in theory, the same as you can peppers and chilli - you can but try - if you have a warm bright windowledge or conservatory for them 

They would die in a cold greenhouse, that's for sure!

Not really got anywhere protected other than the greenhouse, so the over-winter idea might be a non starter

Hadn't thought about the bees!
