Title: Bottling Garlic
Post by: SGP on August 30, 2010, 13:05
I currently bottle garlic for future use in oil with herbs; does anyone have better/other ideas for bottling garlic please?

They pickle it in Mediterranean countries, in white vinegar, or I have had it in brine. Might be worth a Google. :)

No better ideas
:(
I do make LARGE amounts of Garlic oil for salads but I also use it for cooking.
Last year I made garlic oil (some with peppers and chilli;s in) and gave them away as Christmas prezzies

xXx

Garlic stored in oil can produce botulism unless properly processed s it is not acidic, better off storing in brine or vinegar.
