I suppose so, it does suggest it's not regular capacity though.

I just use a stick blender when making soups, but for the best results I think a liquidiser is better.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

It should be, but if you mainly want to make soup you can buy jug blenders just for soup or I tend to ue my trusty stickblender. It depends on how much use you would get out of the other bit of it. Making dough, pastry, coleslaw, breadcrumbs etc?

It usually takes me  2 or 3 fillings to blitz a large pan of soup :)  I do use the processor bit of mine quite a lot.

If you only want to blend soup - then the stick ones are quicker/more convenient/easier to clean  :D

I have the compact version because it takes up less space and it is fab (is cheaper too)!  :)
As Mum says, it takes a few fillings when making a large vat of soup but I usually leave some unprocessed for a bit of texture.
Excellent for grating that large batch of cheese for freezing (when it's on offer), chopping large batches of onions, making pastry etc.
A very good make too. My Kenwood Chef is 27 years old and I can still buy parts for it.  :D

If all you want to do is blend soup, a stick blender you can use to blend in the pan is cheap and a lot less faff to use and clean up after Kris  :)
