Great ideas there, John.  Did you get debris netting wide enough to go over the brassica tunnel in one go, or have you had to sew a couple of pieces together?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I got a roll of 2 metre wide netting and 'sewed' it together with cable ties, which I also used to hold the netting on the frame.

Protected Growing

I was reading on the BBC website that this is what a lot of small scale farmers are downing down in the Falklands. The cost of fresh veg down there is horrendous and most of it comes from S A . I think the jist of it was that if the farmers can improve a bit of ground and protect it from the weather then is may be possible to produce more on the Islands. It has to be hard to produce much down there though... weird thing is meat is not a problem for them at all sheep can eek out a life on next to nothing!
